Follow Thorns FC players on international duty from April 3-11

Several Thorns FC players have departed preseason training camp to join up with their respective national teams during this most recent FIFA window spanning from April 3-11.


U.S. Women’s National Team players Allie Long and Meghan Klingenberg have departed to meet up with the USWNT in Texas for two friendlies against Russia. The United States plays in Frisco at Toyota Stadium on April 6; kickoff is set for 5:30 p.m. (Pacific) on FS1. The two teams then head to Houston for a match at BBVA Compass Stadium on April 9 at 11 a.m. (Pacific) on ESPN.


Over in Europe, Christine Sinclair has headed out to join the Canada Women’s National Team for a pair of matches against two of the best European teams in Sweden (April 6) and Germany (April 9), while Amandine Henry is back in France with her national team to begin preparations for a match against the Netherlands on April 7.


In addition, Nadia Nadim will make the trip to Europe after she wraps up play in the Thorns Spring Invitational presented by Tillamook for a friendly with Denmark against Finland on April 11.
