PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland Thorns FC midfielders Lindsey Horan and Allie Long and defender Meghan Klingenberg have been named to the 21-player U.S. Women’s National Team roster ahead of a pair of friendlies against Sweden (June 8) and Norway (June 11).
The USWNT will travel to Europe for two matches, squaring off against Sweden on Thursday, June 8, in Gothenburg at Gamla Ullevi Stadium; kickoff is set for 10:30 a.m. (Pacific) on ESPN2. Following its June 8 match, the USWNT will take on Norway in a match on Sunday, June 11, at Komplett Arena in Sandefjord at 10 a.m. (Pacific) on FOX.
Long (25 caps) and Klingenberg (72 caps) both made appearances for the United States in friendlies against Russia on April 6 and April 9. Long tallied a brace in a 4-0 win on April 6. Horan (33 caps) did not participate in camp ahead of the Russia friendlies, but was both part of the roster for the SheBelieves Cup in March.
