#StatMan Three | Timbers first team since 2015 to outshoot Sounders in Seattle by more than double

In the first matchup between the two rivals in 2017, the Portland Timbers lost a 1-0 decision to Seattle Sounders FC Saturday afternoon at CenturyLink Field. Here are three #StatMan takeaways from the match. 


19-8 Portland more than doubled the Sounders on shots with 19 compared to Seattle's eight. Portland is the first road team to more than double Seattle in shots since the Timbers also did it on Aug. 30, 2015. 


97% Midfielder Darlington Nagbe completed 57 of his 59 attempted passes while attempting four shots and creating two chances. The 97 percent passing accuracy is the highest percentage by a Timbers player this season (minimum of 40 passes). 


448 The Timbers finished the match with 448 successful passes, the most by Portland in a match this season. The output was also the most by a single team in any match between the Timbers and Sounders in the MLS era.
