The Portland Timbers will play at Providence Park for a second consecutive week, playing host to FC Dallas on Saturday, June 10. With a 2-0 win against the San Jose Earthquakes on June 2, the Timbers recorded their 16th home win at Providence Park since 2016, ranking as the second-most in MLS during that stretch. FC Dallas enters Saturday’s match coming off a 6-2 home win against Real Salt Lake on June 3. Away from home this season, Dallas has produced a 2-1-2 record in 2017, with a 1-1-1 record in its last three away games. Forward Maximiliano Urruti leads the team in goals scored with seven so far this season.


LAST MATCH RECAP


With two second-half goals, the Portland Timbers recorded their fourth home win and second clean-sheet victory of the season, defeating the San Jose Earthquakes 2-0 before a sold-out crowd of 21,144 fans at Providence Park on Friday night.


Midfielder Diego Valeri scored two second-half goals in the Timbers win, extending his tally to eight goals in 2017, which ranks tied as the third-most in MLS this season. With the win, the Timbers (6-5-3, 21pts) remain unbeaten at home all-time in MLS regular-season play against San Jose, extending their unbeaten streak to 10 games (7-0-3) since joining MLS in 2011, including five straight wins since the 2014 season.
