We asked Dan a few questions after the match.
What was your first memory of/first match supporting the Timbers?
"Our 2nd date was a Timbers match seated in the Timbers Army. We were standing close to the action around the 4th or 5th row of section 101. The cheering and excitement in between shots, tackles, and goals were perfect for early dating hugs, high fives, and occasional snuggles."
What was your favorite moment of the match tonight?
"The Valeri goal called back for a handball and immediately followed by an Adi goal was awesome! The whole stadium erupted and our son River high-fived Jack Jewsbury, who was standing behind us."
Who would you nominate as Player of the Match?
"Fanendo Adi for his brace!"
What is your prediction for the next MLS match – Timbers at Colorado Rapids?
"Timbers win 3-1!"
What else should we know about your Timbers fandom? Any favorite pieces of Timbers memorabilia?
"Our 2 year old River and 9 month old Stella have rarely missed a home match. As a result, our kiddos can sing and clap to the Timbers Army chants, know how to properly wave their scarves, and are on queue yelling with the crowd and cheering for goals!"
