This latest edition: David Guzmán. Guzmán began his career with Deportivo Saprissa, spending eight years in the Costa Rica Primera Division before he was acquired on transfer by the Timbers in December of 2016. Over the course of his thirteen starts for Portland in 2017, the twenty-seven-year-old midfielder has recorded a goal and four assists. Guzmán has also been called up for international duty this year, making six appearances for the Costa Rican National Team.
