The match on Saturday marks the first of three regular-season matches between the two clubs in 2017, as both teams will meet Saturday, July 22, at Greater Nevada Field and Saturday, Sept. 23, at Providence Park.

T2 (1-12-1, 4pts) enter Saturday’s match looking to rebound from a 3-1 loss at home to OKC Energy FC on June 16 at Providence Park. Holding a 7-5 shot advantage in the first half, T2 midfielder Villyan Bijev gave his side the lead after he recorded his team-leading fourth goal of the season in the 40th minute when he converted his penalty attempt past OKC goalkeeper C.J. Cochran. After OKC leveled the score in the 42nd minute, Energy FC forward Andy Craven scored two second-half penalty kicks in the 74th and 78th minute to give his side a 3-1 lead. Bijev leads Portland with four goals this season, while forward Augustine Williams and midfielder Victor Arboleda have two tallies apiece.

Reno 1868 FC (5-4-3, 18pts), the USL affiliate of MLS club San Jose Earthquakes, enter Saturday’s game after falling 2-1 on the road to Real Monarchs SLC at Rio Tinto Stadium on June 19, snapping a seven-game unbeaten streak. Reno currently sits in fifth place in the Western Conference standings, and is 3-1-1 in its last five games. Forward Dane Kelly ranks first in the USL with 12 goals scored, while midfielder Chris Wehan leads the team and ranks tied for second in the USL in assists (5).

Individual-game tickets for the 2017 season start at $10 and are available at the Providence Park box office on gameday or by visiting www.timbers.com/tickets. Season tickets are available for T2 home matches at Providence Park by calling (503) 553-5555.
