USL MATCH PREVIEW & STREAM | T2 travel to face Orange County SC Saturday

PORTLAND, Ore. – Heading into Week 15 of the 2017 USL regular season, T2 will travel to face Orange County SC at Orange County Great Park on Saturday, July 1. Set to begin at 5 p.m. (Pacific), Saturday’s match will be available via a live, high-definition web stream at www.timbers2.com.

The match on Saturday marks the second and final regular-season game between the two clubs in 2017. In the first meeting between the two teams this season, T2 fell 2-1 to Orange County SC at Providence Park on April 8, with forward Augustine Williams scoring the lone goal of the match for Portland.

T2 (1-13-1, 4pts) enter Saturday’s match looking to bounce back from a 2-0 loss at home to Reno 1868 FC at Providence Park on June 24. Reno took the lead in the second half when midfielder Seth Casiple’s curling effort from inside the box beat T2 goalkeeper Kendall McIntosh, who finished the match with a season-high seven saves, at the far post in the 55th minute. Midfielder Villyan Bijev leads Portland with four goals this season, while Williams and midfielder Victor Arboleda have two tallies apiece.

Orange County SC (4-4-1, 13pts) enter Saturday’s contest after defeating Seattle Sounders FC 2 4-3 at Orange County Great Park on June 24, which snapped a three-game losing streak. As a team, Orange County sits 13th in the Western Conference standings, and is 2-3-0 in its last five games. Midfielder Jerry Van Ewijk leads the team with three goals, while midfielder Carlos Alvarez ranks first on the team with two assists.

Following Saturday’s match, T2 return home to face LA Galaxy II at Providence Park on Sunday, July 9; kickoff is set for 2 p.m. (Pacific).
