In a match featuring two teams tied in the standings, the Portland Timbers and Vancouver Whitecaps FC face off Sunday afternoon in a Cascadia Cup rivalry match at BC Place (3:30pm PT, FS1). Here are five numbers to know for #VANvPOR in the latest edition of Quick Strikes. 


71 Matches between the two Cascadia rivals have been contentious since the clubs joined MLS in 2011. In that span, only two fixtures have seen more yellow cards shown than the 71 in matches between Portland and Vancouver. 


12 On Wednesday, Portland midfielder Jack Barmby scored his first goal of the season and the second goal of his Portland career. Barmby is one of 12 Timbers players to score a regular-season goal in 2017, which ties Portland for the most different goalscorers for an MLS club this season.


31 The Timbers have scored 31 goals against Whitecaps FC in MLS matches. The 31 goals are the most goals scored by the Timbers against any single MLS opponent. 


4 In his MLS debut Wednesday, defender Larrys Mabiala made four tackles, which was a game-high for the Timbers. Mabiala also is one of four Timbers player to be born in France, joining current teammate Jeremy Ebobisse and former Timbers players Frederic Piquionne and Mikael Silvestre. 


11With an assist in his last game, midfielder Ben Zemanski now has 11 assists over the course of his MLS career. The eight-year veteran is one of eight players with an assist in 2017 for Portland.
