#StatMan Three | Portland Timbers set team-high passing marks in victory over Colorado Rapids

The Portland Timbers won their second match in a less than a week, beating the Colorado Rapids 2-1 at Providence Park. Here are three #StatMan takeaways from #PORvCOL. 


513 Portland finished the match with 513 successful passes and a passing accuracy of 88.75 percent, both of which are club highs in MLS play. It is the first time the Timbers have ever had 500 or more successful passes in a match. 


52 Midfielder Diego Valeri became the Timbers all-time leading goal-scorer when he headed in a cross in the 21st minute. In addition, Valeri set a Timbers MLS record by scoring in a fifth-consecutive match. 


3Darlington Nagbe scored his third goal of the season and the 27th of his career, which is ninth-most in Timbers all-era history.
