MATCH PREVIEW


Following back-to-back home wins, the Timbers will hit the road this weekend, traveling to face Cascadia-rival Seattle Sounders FC at CenturyLink Field on Sunday, Aug. 27. Beginning at 6:30 p.m. (Pacific), Sunday’s match will be televised nationally on FS1 with FS1 with local radio broadcasts on 750 AM/102.9 FM The Game (English) and La GranD 1150 AM/93.5 FM (Spanish). Entering Sunday’s game, the Timbers are coming off a 2-1 win against the Colorado Rapids, with midfielders Diego Valeri and Darlington Nagbe each scoring in the win. Valeri recorded his club-record 52nd career goal in the 2-1 victory. Sounders FC venture into Sunday’s game coming off a 1-1 draw against Vancouver Whitecaps FC, marking their 10th straight league game without a loss.
