PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland Thorns FC midfielders Dagny Brynjarsdottir (Iceland) and Amandine Henry (France), and forwards Nadia Nadim (Denmark) and Hayley Raso (Australia) were all named to their respective national team rosters for upcoming matches during the September FIFA window, spanning Sept. 11-19.
Brynjarsdottir, Henry, Nadim and Raso will not miss any league games with Thorns FC, returning to join the squad ahead of Portland’s next game, an away fixture on Sept. 23 against the Orlando Pride.
Iceland and Brynjarsdottir square off against the Faroe Islands in their first 2019 Women’s World Cup qualifying match on Sept. 18.
Henry and France play host to Chile (Sept. 15) and Spain (Sept. 18) in friendly matches.
Nadim and Denmark take on Hungary in a 2019 Women’s World Cup qualifier match on Sept. 19.
Raso and the Matildas play host to Brazil for a pair of friendlies on Sept. 16 and Sept. 19.
