MIAMI -- Portland Thorns FC goalkeeper Adrianna Franch was named Tuesday as the 2017 CONCACAF Female Goalkeeper of the Year.
Franch, who played every minute of the Thorns’ championship campaign (24 regular season and 2 playoff games), set a NWSL record for most shutouts in a single regular season with 11. She was also named the 2017 NWSL Best XI and was the league’s Goalkeeper of the Year.
Horan, in her second season with Thorns FC in 2017, was a 2017 NWSL Second XI recipient and one of four Thorns FC players to start all 24 matches, playing 2,125 minutes during the regular season tallying four goals and two assists.
Long played in 21 matches (17 starts), recording two goals and one assist in 2017 and appeared in her 100th career match for the club against Chicago on Sept. 30.
Menges appeared in 23 matches (all starts), logging 2,063 minutes in 2017 and was named to the NWSL Second XI.
