PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland Thorns FC have signed Bella Geist as a goalkeeper replacement, it was announced today.
Geist, 22, will serve as a goalkeeper replacement for Adrianna Franch, who is unavailable for the match due to injury. Geist was the 29th overall pick (third round) by Portland in the 2018 NWSL College Draft out of Oregon State.
In the case of an injured goalkeeper, or when a team has less than two available goalkeepers, a team is able to add a goalkeeper to its roster until its goalkeeper is back to full participation with the team.
