Riding the longest winning streak in their MLS history, the Portland Timbers will head to Colorado to face the Rapids at Dick's Sporting Goods Park on Saturday (6pm PT, FOX 12 PLUS (KPDX)). Here are five numbers to know for #COLvPOR in the latest Quick Strikes.
51 Cristhian Paredes and Samuel Armenteros each scored their first goals for the Timbers against LAFC. Paredes and Armenteros became the 50th and 51st different players to score in an MLS match for Portland.
214 When he next steps foot on the field for Portland, midfielder Diego Chara will be playing in his 214th league match for the club. This will tie Chara with Darlington Nagbe for most appearances by a Timbers player in all eras of the club.
15 The Timbers are the only team in MLS that haven't conceded a goal in the first 15 minutes of any match this season. In addition, Portland hasn't given up a goal in the first half of any match since March 24.
20 At twenty years-and-one-day, Paredes became the second-youngest player ever to score for the Timbers in a league match, behind only Andrew Jean-Baptiste. Paredes also became the youngest player to ever score a goal and record an assist in a single match for the Timbers.
900 Defender Larrys Mabiala is the only Timbers player to have played every minute so far this season, having played 900 minutes in 2018. Since his debut for the club last season, Mabiala has played 2,060 of a possible 2,150 minutes.
