PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland Thorns FC forward Christine Sinclair has been named to the Canada Women’s National Team roster for an international friendly against Germany on June 10 in Hamilton, Ontario, it was announced today.
Sinclair will depart and join Canada after the team’s match against the North Carolina Courage on Wednesday, May 30, and will rejoin the team ahead of a road match against the Chicago Red Stars on Saturday, June 16. Sinclair will not miss any matches while away on national team duty.
Sinclair, who currently leads the NWSL with six goals in 10 matches this season, remains second on the all-time international scoring list, tallying 172 goals in 267 total appearances for Canada. She last featured for Canada against France on April 9, starting and playing 90 minutes.
