The Portland Timbers extended their unbeaten streak across all competitions to 13 games by collecting their 10th victory in that span as the club defeated the San Jose Earthquakes 2-1 at Providence Park Saturday night. Here are three key #StatMan takeaways from the match. 

5 With his two assists in the match, Diego Valeri became the first Timbers player to assist on five consecutive goals in MLS play. Valeri also became the first Timbers player with multiple assists in consecutive MLS games. 

6 Since scoring his first MLS goal on May 23, forward Samuel Armenteros has scored six goals in league play across the last eight matches, which is tied for fourth-most in MLS in that time span. Armenteros also became the first Timbers player this season with multiple braces. 

11 The Timbers are unbeaten in their last 11 MLS matches with eight wins and three draws. Portland's points per game average since April 14 is 2.45 ppg, which is the most in MLS over the last three months.
