Thorns FC defender Katherine Reynolds undergoes successful surgery for knee injury

PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland Thorns FC announced today that defender Katherine Reynolds underwent successful surgery at Sports Medicine Oregon to repair a torn medial collateral ligament (MCL) in her right knee. Reynolds will begin rehabilitation immediately with Thorns FC sports medicine staff at Providence Park and at the Providence Sports Care Center and will miss the remainder of the 2018 season.


In her third season with Portland in 2018, Reynolds, 30, appeared in 17 matches (16 starts), logging 1,419 minutes. She made her 100th career NWSL appearance on May 30 at Providence Park against the North Carolina Courage, scoring her first career NWSL goal in the match.
