PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland Thorns FC forward Christine Sinclair has been named to the Canada Women’s National Team roster for an international friendly against Brazil on Sept. 2 in Ottawa, Ontario, it was announced today.
Sinclair will depart and join Canada after the team’s road match against the Washington Spirit on Aug. 25 and will return to Portland ahead of the team’s regular-season finale against Seattle Reign FC on Sept. 7 at Providence Park.
In 2018, Sinclair has scored eight goals and tallied six assists in 21 matches for Thorns FC, and remains second on the all-time international scoring list, tallying 173 goals in 268 total appearances for Canada.
