T2 midfielder Marvin LorĂa was named to the USL Team of the Week for Week 26 after tallying a goal and an assist in Portland’s 4-0 shutout victory over Tulsa Roughnecks FC at Providence Park on Sept. 9.
LorĂa logged an assist on the game-winning goal from defender Bill Tuiloma with his in-swinging corner kick service in the 12th minute. The Costa Rican midfielder scored in the 24th minute after defender Marco Farfan found LorĂa unmarked in the left edge of the box and his one-timed shot was blasted through the legs of Tulsa Roughnecks FC goalkeeper Chase Gentry.
LorĂa now has five goals and a team-high seven assists in 25 appearances (20 starts) in the 2018 USL regular season. With the selection, this marks the second time LorĂa has been named to the USL Team of the Week, as the midfielder was named to the USL Team of the Week for Week 18.
Next up, T2 begin a three-game road trip, traveling to face Las Vegas Lights FC at Cashman Field on Sunday, Sept. 16. Beginning at 6 p.m. (Pacific), the match will be streamed live on ESPN+.
