Concacaf Women's Championship | Thorns FC players help U.S. to title victory over Canada

Thorns FC's Lindsey Horan had an assist as the U.S. Women's National Team won the 2018 Concacaf Women's Championship Wednesday night with a 2-0 win over Christine Sinclair and the Canada National Women's Team. Portland's Tobin Heath also played in the match for the USWNT while Emily Sonnett was on the bench.

By reaching the final, both teams earned spots in next summer's 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup in France.

The U.S. outscored all opponents in the tournament by a 26-0 margin on their way to earning their sixth all time continental title. Additionally, Horan and Heath both earned selections to the Concacaf Best XI for their play throughout the tourney.

The friendly rivalry between Thorns teammates on the respective teams was definitely evident following the match as Sinclair good-naturedly ribbed Horan in the media mixed zone following the match.
