Quick Strikes | Blanco adds his name to Timbers record books + success in Vancouver

Sebastian Blanco, Timbers vs. RSL, 10.21.18

The Portland Timbers wrap up the 2018 MLS regular season when they head north to take on Vancouver Whitecaps FC at BC Place Sunday (1:30pm PT, ROOT SPORTS). Here are five numbers to know for #VANvPOR in an MLS Decision Day presented by AT&T edition of Quick Strikes.

7 Forward Jeremy Ebobisse has made the most of his opportunity in his seven career MLS starts. The 21-year-old has scored three goals and three assists in those seven starts.

11 With his assist on Sunday, Sebastián Blanco became just the third Timbers player since the club's rebirth in 2001 to reach 11 assists in a single season. Blanco joins his teammate Diego Valeri (2013, 2014, 2017, and 2018) and Hugo Alcaraz-Cuellar (2005) to accomplish the feat.

5 Including the Audi 2015 MLS Cup Playoffs, the Timbers have defeated the Whitecaps five different times at BC Place in MLS play. That ties for the third-most road wins by an MLS team at any single opponent since 2011.

15 The Timbers have already tied an MLS-era club record with 15 victories in a single season. Portland also reached 15 regular season wins in 2015 and 2017.

2 When midfielder Diego Chara scored against RSL, he became the ninth different Timbers player to have scored multiple goals in MLS play this season. That mark ties with the 2014 season for most different players having scored at least two goals for Portland.
