PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland Thorns FC today announced details for the Thorns Spring Invitational, presented by Tillamook, at the University of Portland. Taking place from March 24-30, the fourth-annual, four-team tournament features Thorns FC, the U.S. U-23 Women’s National Team, Chicago Red Stars and Reign FC.
Playing all matches at Merlo Field, Portland and Chicago will square off Sunday, March 24; kickoff is set for 5 p.m. (Pacific). Reign FC and the U.S. U-23s will face each other in the opening match at 11:30 a.m. (Pacific). On Wednesday, March 27, Chicago takes on Reign FC at 1:30 p.m. (Pacific), while Thorns FC play host to the U.S. U-23s at 7:30 p.m. (Pacific). Portland concludes the preseason tournament against Reign FC on Saturday, March 30, at 7:30 p.m. (Pacific), while Chicago and the U.S. U-23s square off at 1:30 p.m. (Pacific).

Tickets for the three preseason tournament matches featuring Thorns FC are general admission. Individual tickets for the three Portland preseason matches go on sale to the general public starting Tuesday, March 19, at 10 a.m. (Pacific) online at www.thornsfc.com. All Thorns FC Annual Members will receive complimentary tickets for one of Thorns FC’s preseason matches. Discounted options will be available for the other two Thorns FC matches.
