The Portland Timbers began their 2019 MLS campaign with a 3-3 draw against the Colorado Rapids in blizzard conditions at Dick's Sporting Goods Park. Here are three #StatMan takeaways from the match. 


18The kickoff temperature of 18 degrees Fahrenheit marked the coldest game in MLS history – regular season and playoffs included – breaking the record of 19 degrees set twice in Minnesota. 


7With his goal in the first half, Diego Valeri now has seven goals all-time against the Colorado Rapids. That is the most goals the midfielder has scored in the regular season against any MLS opponent. 


4With the draw, Portland is now unbeaten in four straight matches against the Rapids in regular season MLS play going 3-0-1.
