Thorns FC announce 2019 preseason roster

PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland Thorns FC have announced their 2019 preseason roster as the team opens training camp for its seventh season in the NWSL.

For a fourth consecutive season, Portland will play host to a preseason tournament. The 2019 Thorns Spring Invitational presented by Tillamook March 24-30 at Merlo Field features the U.S. U-23 Women’s National Team, Reign FC and Chicago Red Stars.

Playing all matches at Merlo Field, Portland and Chicago will square off Sunday, March 24; kickoff is set for 5 p.m. (Pacific). On Wednesday, March 27, Thorns FC play host to the U.S. U-23s at 7:30 p.m. (Pacific). Portland concludes the preseason tournament against Reign FC on Saturday, March 30, at 7:30 p.m. (Pacific). Tickets for the three preseason tournament matches featuring Thorns FC are general admission. Individual tickets for the three Portland preseason matches go on sale to the general public starting Tuesday, March 19, at 10 a.m. (Pacific) online at www.thornsfc.com.

Thorns FC open the 2019 season against the Orlando Pride on Sunday, April 14, at Orlando City Stadium; kickoff is set for 2 p.m. (Pacific).
