CINCINNATI – The Portland Timbers, playing with 10 men, fell 3-0 to FC Cincinnati Sunday at Nippert Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio. The goals for the home side came from Kendall Waston, Allan Cruz and Mathieu Deplagne.

15' - GOAL (CIN) - Cincinnati scored first when Kendall Waston headed in a goal off a free kick from Leonardo Bertone in the 15th minute.


32' - CHANCE (POR) - On a Timbers attack forward, the ball bounced out to midfielder Bill Tuiloma who hit a hard, skipping shot from 35 yards out that forced a diving save from Cincinnati goalkeeper Spencer Richey. On the ensuing corner, Dairon Asprilla took a shot from close range that Richey also parried away.

61' - GOAL (CIN) - Allan Cruz made it 2-0 for the home side when he received a pass on the edge of the six-yard box and back-heeled a shot into the bottom left corner of the net.


63' - GOAL (CIN) - Mathieu Deplagne scored two minutes later when he took a cross from Darren Mattocks on the back post and knocked it in to make it 3-0.


70' - RED CARD (POR) - Larrys Mabiala received a second yellow card and accompanying red card for a foul on the edge of the box to put Portland at 10 men for the remainder of the match.


78' - CHANCE (POR) - Diego Valeri, dribbling around the left channel, let fly a dipping shot on frame that forced a save from Richey at the near post.
