Stand Together and Allstate help local youth become Champions of Play

In partnership with Allstate, Stand Together provided more than $12,000 of P.E. equipment to 10 local schools through the Champions of Play initiative to support quality physical education to the next generation of leaders. The combined P.E. budget for these schools is $600 or 13 cents per student.

Throughout the 2018 – 2019 school year, each school received $1,250 worth of equipment during a PTFC assembly to showcase the importance of play and provide youth with the tools they need to live healthy and active lives. Each child left feeling a little more empowered to stay active every day and to be a Champion of Play.

The 10 selected schools were Gilbert Park Elementary, Hall Elementary, Harrison Park Elementary, Hartley Elementary, Highland Elementary, Lincoln Park Elementary, Margaret Scott Elementary, Rigler Elementary, Sitton Elementary, and West Powellhurst Elementary.
