MATCH RECAP | Portland Timbers 1, Orlando City SC 1

PORTLAND, Ore. – Forward Jeremy Ebobisse came off the bench to score in the 82nd minute and the Portland Timbers extended their unbeaten streak to four games as they drew 1-1 with Orlando City SC Thursday night at Providence Park.



Match Moments

13' - CHANCE (POR) - Timbers midfielder Sebastián Blanco carried down the left channel to the endline, put a ball in that was deflected out to midfielder Cristhian Paredes near the top of the box. His one-timed shot went over the bar.


23' - CHANCE (POR) - Portland midfielder Diego Valeri, who found himself with open space on the left side, tried his luck with a dipping shot that went wide of the right post.


28' - CHANCE (POR) - On a Timbers corner kick, Valeri floated a ball to the far post. Lurking there, defender Claude Dielna looped a header that Orlando goalkeeper Greg Ranjitsingh dove to catch.


37' - CHANCE (POR) - The Timbers broke forward with Blanco threading a ball through to Valeri on his left. Continuing his run, Blanco jumped high to head Valeri's chip off the bar. The ball bounced down off Ranjitsingh's back but he spun and fell on the ball.

44' - GOAL (ORL) - Against the run of play, Orlando's Robinho crossed a ball into the middle of the Timbers mixer. Portland defender Jorge Moreira attempted to clear the ball but it deflected into the path of Santiago Patiño who one-timed it into the back of the net for a 1-0 Lions lead.


45+4' - CHANCE (POR) - Moments before halftime on a Portland corner kick, Valeri's ball into the middle was headed just over the bar by Dielna.


70' - CHANCE (POR) - The Timbers worked the ball around the Orlando area with Blanco sending a cross into the middle that Paredes snapped a header down but Ranjitsingh made the save.


78' - CHANCE (POR) - On a Timbers free kick, Valeri chipped a ball in, but it was played back out to him. He gathered it on the right before lofting a ball to the back post that Dielna headed wide into the side netting.


82' - GOAL (POR) - The Timbers finally equalized on some gutsy play. Valeri tracked back to slide tackle a ball up to Moreira in the right channel. Moreira's cross was flicked on by forward Brian Fernandez in the box to Jeremy Ebobisse at the back post who thumped his header in to tie the score at 1-1.
