Match Moments

9' - CHANCE (POR) - Timbers forward Jeremy Ebobisse, cutting in from the left, hit a skipping shot towards the near post that Seattle goalkeeper Stefan Frei moved quickly to his right to gather.

18' - CHANCE (POR) - Portland defender Julio Cascante leapt high and snapped a header down from a Diego Valeri corner kick for the lower corner but Frei dove to his right to get one hand to it. An off-balance Ebobisse tried to knock in the rebound but the ball rolled wide of the post.

20' - GOAL (POR) - The Timbers took a 1-0 lead in the 20th minute on some great attacking play. Defender Jorge Moreira cut into the area from the right side, ghosted his defender, and then hammered a shot off the crossbar. Forward Brian Fernandez pounced on the rebound and lasered the rebound into the back of the net. It was his 10th goal in 12 games across all competitions.

40' - SAVE (POR) - Seattle looped a free kick into the box that was headed towards goal but Portland goalkeeper Steve Clark jumped high to tip it over the bar.

46' - CHANCE (POR) - Fernandez capitalized on a Seattle turnover, carried to the endline and chipped a ball back that Timbers midfielder Cristian Paredes tried to bicycle. His shot bounced to Ebobisse who hit the ball wide of goal.

50' - GOAL (SEA) - Seattle defender Roman Torres sent a long ball over the top that bounced off Cascante's head and right into the path of forward Raúl Ruidíaz. Clark came off his line but Ruidíaz rounded him and knocked the ball into an open net to tie the game at 1-1.

51' - GOAL (POR) - A short 1:15 later, Valeri sprayed a ball out wide right to Sebastían Blanco. Blanco took a touch and then curled a throughball up to Fernandez who made a near post run, slotted a shot on frame under Frei and into the back of the net for a 2-1 Portland lead.

78' - CHANCE (POR) - Fernandez took a ball from Clark on the left and played it back to an open Paredes atop the box. Paredes took one touch and then hit a hard shot just over the bar.

90+6 - SAVE (POR) - Seattle's Kim Kee-Hee whipped in a cross that Torres headed right on frame but Clark was in perfect position to make the catch.
