#StatMan Three | Defender Jorge Moreira with his second goal of the season

The Portland Timbers defeated the Chicago Fire, 3-2, Wednesday at Providence Park. Here are three key #StatMan takeaways from #PORvCHI

2 Jorge Moreira gave the Timbers the early lead when he chipped the ball over a Chicago defender and into the goal. Moreira is the third Timbers outside back to have multiple MLS goals in a single season for the club joining Rodney Wallace (2011) and Alvas Powell (2014, 2017 and 2018).

14 Playing in his 15th match as a Timbers player, Brian Fernandez scored his 13th and 14th goals in all competitions. The 14 goals are the most by an MLS Timbers player in their debut season with the club.

5-0-5 With the victory, the Timbers continue their unbeaten form against the Fire. Chicago is the only MLS team to never beat Portland, with the Timbers recording five wins and five draws in 10 matches.
