Quick Strikes | The 107th edition of Portland/Seattle kicks off on Friday night

The 107th edition of the Timbers/Seattle rivalry will take place on Friday night at Providence Park (Heineken Rivalry Week, 7pm PT, ESPN). Here are five numbers to know for #PORvSEA in the latest Quick Strikes.

2X2 Forward Brian Fernandez has scored twice in both of his matches (regular season and U.S. Open Cup) against Sounders FC. Fernandez is one of three players in the all-era history of the Timbers with more than one brace versus Seattle, along with Fanendo Adi and Clyde Best.

8 In his 17 regular season-matches against Seattle, Diego Valeri has delivered eight assists. Valeri has more assists against the Sounders than against any club except Vancouver.

90 Since the Timbers joined MLS in 2011, regular-season matches between Portland and Seattle have seen 90 yellow cards shown. Only two other MLS fixtures have seen more yellow cards shown since 2011.

5 With a win or draw against Seattle, the Timbers will secure the Cascadia Cup. Portland has won the competition on four different occasions (2009, 2010, 2012, and 2017).

4 Sebastián Blanco has a goal or assist in four straight matches against Seattle. Blanco has two goals and two assists in those four games.
