#StatMan Three | Clark and Portland defense deliver another shutout for Timbers

Using a first-half goal and stout defense, the Portland Timbers knocked off Real Salt Lake, 1-0, Saturday night at Providence Park. Here are three key #StatMan takeaways from #PORvRSL. 

2 For the first time this season, Diego Valeri has scored goals in consecutive games for the Timbers. It is the tenth time in Valeri's Portland career that he has a scored in at least two consecutive games. 

5 The Portland defense held strong earning the club their fifth shutout of the season. Goalkeeper Steve Clark, who finished the match with six saves, has been the starter in all five clean sheets. 

1 With a one-touch pass, midfielder Andrés Flores delivered his first assist of the season. Flores is the 13th Timbers player this season with an assist.
