T2 midfielder Carlos Anguiano was named to the USL Championship Team of the Week for Week 26 after tallying his first professional goal and an assist in T2’s 3-1 win at Reno 1868 FC on Aug. 31.
Anguiano scored his first career goal after Gio Calixtro laid the ball off to him near the edge of the penalty area before curling his left-footed shot into the top left corner of the net in the 43rd minute to give T2 a 2-0 lead. In addition to his goal and assist, Anguiano created three chances in the win against Reno. In 15 appearances (13 starts), Anguiano has tallied one goal and four assists in 1,221 minutes played for T2 this campaign.
Next up, T2 play host to Orange County SC at Providence Park on Sunday, Sept. 8. Beginning at 2 p.m. (Pacific), the match against Orange County will be streamed live on ESPN+.
