Quick Strikes | Timbers have best road winning percentage in MLS playoff history

The Portland Timbers kick off their Audi 2019 MLS Cup Playoffs campaign when they square off with Real Salt Lake on Saturday at Rio Tinto Stadium (7pm PT, ESPNews). Here are five numbers to know for #RSLvPOR in a playoff edition of Quick Strikes.

4 Portland has beaten Real Salt Lake in four consecutive matches. Those four wins are tied for the most consecutive wins against a single opponent by the Timbers in their MLS era.

3 For the first time in the club's all-era history, the Timbers have qualified for the postseason for three consecutive seasons. Portland has also made the playoffs in five of their last seven seasons.

.600 Portland comes into the match with the best road winning percentage in MLS postseason history at .600. The Timbers have lost just three times in their 10 all-time MLS playoff games.

76 Midfielder Sebastián Blanco was credited with 76 chances created from open play this season. That is the third-most by an MLS player since 2011 behind only Landon Donovan (84 in 2014) and Maxi Moralez (77 in 2019).

5 The Timbers have won more matches (five) at Rio Tinto Stadium than any other road venue in MLS. In their last seven matches in Utah, Portland is 5-1-1.
