Lindsey Horan, Thorns vs. Reign, 9.7.18

In the final regular season match of 2018, Portland Thorns FC defeated rival Seattle Reign FC, 3-1, to clinch the second seed in the NWSL Playoffs. Midfielder Lindsey Horan led the way with a brace for Portland while Tobin Heath added another in the win.

That match is head coach Mark Parson's choice for this week's PTFC: From the Archives, presented by Providence Health & Services. Tune in to FOX 12 Oregon KPTV, ThornsFC.com or Twitch.tv/thornsfc on April 25, 2020 at 3pm PT to see a special rebroadcast of this historic match. Here are five numbers to know ahead of the game.

13 Horan capped her 2018 NWSL MVP campaign with two goals, giving her a total of 13 for the season. Her 13 goals set a club record and were the third-most by a NWSL player in 2018.

21,144 The match was played in front of a sellout crowd of 21,144, which was the first sellout of the season for the Thorns. Nine of the 10 largest crowds in league history have taken place at Providence Park.

7 The victory was Portland's seventh win in their final nine matches of the season. Portland has only bested that output on one occasion over a nine-match span.
