Steve Clark, Timbers vs. LA, 7.13.20

Four months since their last match, the Portland Timbers kicked off their MLS is Back Tournament campaign with a 2-1 victory over the LA Galaxy Monday night at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando. Here are three key #StatMan takeaways from #LAvPOR.

2 Goalkeeper Steve Clark made an important penalty kick save in the first half for the Timbers. It was Clark's second penalty stop in five attempts across his Timbers career. All other Timbers goalkeepers in the MLS era have combined for two penalty kick saves in 41 attempts.

3 for 3 Forward Jeremy Ebobisse has scored in all of three his MLS matches versus the LA Galaxy. Twenty percent of Ebobisse's regular-season goals have come against LA.

25 After an assist seven minutes earlier, Sebastián Blanco delivered the game-winning goal in the 66th minute. The goal was the 25th regular season goal for Portland, moving him into a tie for 10th-place on the club's all-era goalscoring chart with Ryan Pore.
