Quick Strikes | Timbers face Seattle for second time in September

On Wednesday night (7pm PT, FOX 12 PLUS) at Providence Park, the Portland Timbers take on their rival Seattle Sounders FC for the third time in 2020. Here are five numbers to know for #SEAvPOR in the latest Quick Strikes.

5Diego Valeri was named MLS Player of the Week for the fifth time in his career following his two-goal, one-assist performance against the Earthquakes. Valeri's five MLS Player of the Week honors are a club record, breaking a tie with Fanendo Adi.

2Against San Jose, midfielder Diego Chara delivered two assists for the first time in his Timbers career. Chara was playing in his 272nd regular season game for the Timbers.

19Forward Jeremy Ebobisse is up to 19 regular-season career MLS goals. No player from the 2017 MLS SuperDraft class has more league goals than Ebobisse.

6On six different occasions in the 2020 regular season, the Timbers have had a goal scored by a substitute. The six goals from substitutes is tied with the Colorado Rapids for most in MLS this season.

110Wednesday's match will be the 110th meeting between the two clubs across all eras. Portland head coach Giovanni Savarese has led 10 of those matches and holds a record of 6-4-0.
