NWSL FALL SERIES MATCH RECAP | Portland Thorns FC 4, OL Reign 1

PORTLAND, Ore. – Christine Sinclair notched the third hat trick of her Thorns career as Portland Thorns FC blew past the OL Reign, 4-1, in Portland's final home match of 2020. The victory places Portland at the top of the NWSL Fall Series standings as the only team with six points.

Joining Sinclair on the scoresheet was Rocky Rodriguez, who scored her first goal a member of Thorns FC. Lindsey Horan added two assists while goalkeeper Britt Eckerstrom had seven saves in the victory.

Match Moments

5' - SAVE (POR) - Eckerstrom came up huge early when she made a diving save on a short-range header from Reign FC.

40' - GOAL (POR) - After Horan and Meghan Klingenberg combing for a give-and-go, Horan dribbled through the right side of the Reign backline before laying off a pass to Sinclair. The Canadian International left little hope for the Reign goalkeeper with a powerful finish.
