The Timbers have always shared a special bond with our fans and our community. We want as many supporters as possible to share in the Timbers experience, especially those who haven’t yet had a chance to attend a match in person. So this season, we're identifying 107 Timbers ambassadors to ‘Spread the Love’ throughout the community by sharing free tickets.

These ambassador welcome packets include a set of custom scarves, four tickets to a first-team Timbers match, four to a Reserves match and four to a Thorns FC match, all in a Portland Timbers tote bag.

In conjunction with the ambassadors, we've created a Facebook page where fans can nominate deserving fans throughout the year. Nominees will be selected directly by the ambassadors during the season, usually about a week before each Timbers match.

The nomination period is over for 2013. View Spread the Love nominees and learn more about the program.

Why “Spread the Love”? The expression “Spread the Love” is heard within the Timbers Army and is associated with Timber Jim Serrill, original mascot and embodiment of Timbers passion and generosity.

Who are the 107 Ambassadors? The 107 Ambassadors are people who have close relationships to the game of soccer in our community, have deep ties to our city and region, and/or have made lasting contributions to the club. The announcement of ambassadors will happen throughout the season. The next group is listed below.

Executive Director of AC Portland, which helps empower students to lead healthy lives, succeed academically, and inspire positive community engagement. Also serves as the volunteer chaplain for the Timbers and is a proud Axe Society and Timbers Army season ticket holder. How do you notify recipients?
Recipients will normally be contacted online within a week of the selected Timbers match included in their “welcome” packet.

Am I eligible to receive more than one “welcome” packet?
No, each recipient will only receive one packet.

How long will the campaign run?
Each of the ambassadors will distribute one “welcome” packet during the season, with the last packets distributed for the October 19 regular season home finale.

Can I nominate more than one person?

What criteria should I follow when nominating someone? You’re free to nominate anyone you think is deserving, but the spirit of the program is to share the experience with those supporters who haven’t yet had a chance to attend a match in person.

When will the first recipient be selected? The first recipient will be selected in late March ahead of the April 6 match (recipients for the March 3 and 9 matches were selected prior to the online nomination tool going live).

What do the recipients receive? Each "welcome" packet includes four (4) tickets to a Portland Timbers regular season home match, four (4) Portland Timbers Reserve team ticket vouchers, four (4) Thorns FC ticket vouchers and four (4) custom Spread the Love scarves.
