The Storyline
The match up with Whitecaps FC 2 will mark the first game for newly appointed head coach Serge Dinkota, which was announced earlier this morning. Dinkota served as the interim head coach for T2 for the first seven matches of the season.
Timbers2 (1-3-3, 7pts) kicks off a May slate which sees the team playing three of its four matches this month at home. They welcome a 'Caps 2 side (1-2-3, 7pts) looking for its first win since March 23.
Timbers 2 and 'Caps 2 played to a 2-2 draw in their previous meeting earlier this season on March 30, at BC Place. Sawyer Jura and Noah Santos both scored for T2 as the team picked up the road result and earned an extra point in a PK shootout win.
