T2 sets new league record with 13th shutout this season, extends unbeaten streak to a seventh straight match
MANSFIELD, Texas – Portland Timbers2 (13-4-6, 48pts) clinched a spot in the MLS NEXT Pro playoffs with a 3-0 shutout victory on the road against North Texas SC (7-8-6, 29pts) on Saturday evening. Notably, T2 set a new league record for shutouts with their 13th of the season, while also extending their unbeaten streak to a seventh straight result (5-0-2).

For the first time in club history, T2 earned a spot in the MLS NEXT Pro postseason. Portland is just the second team out of 30 in the league to secure its spot in the playoffs. Additionally, Timbers2 recorded a new league record with their 13th shutout this season, while goalkeeper Sam Joseph earned his 11th clean sheet of the year. Goals from Daniel Cervantes, Eric Izoita and Maximilian Kissel propelled Portland to its 13th win this season and league-best ninth win on the road.
