T2 rescues point in regular-season home finale with Sawyer Jura stoppage-time, PK equalizer
PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland Timbers2 (14-4-9, 56pts) extended their league-best unbeaten streak to an 11th straight match with a 1-1 draw against St. Louis CITY FC 2 (10-7-10, 44pts) at Providence Park on Monday afternoon. A Sawyer Jura penalty-kick equalizer in the fourth minute of added time and a Sam Joseph save in the shootout earned the team two points. T2 will play its last regular season game on the road against Cascadia rival Tacoma Defiance on Sunday, Sept. 20, before heading into playoffs.
T2 Unbeaten Streak
Timbers2 extended their league-best unbeaten streak to 11 matches (6-0-5), dating back to July 5. Since then, T2 has outscored opponents 15-6, including six shutout results.
