SAN JOSE, Calif. –Timbers2 earned a hard-fought 2-1 road victory over Earthquakes II at PayPal Park on Sunday afternoon. Diego Gutiérrez opened T2’s account early in the match, recording his first goal of the 2023 campaign. Florián Monzón secured three points for T2 with his team-leading third goal of the season in the 90th minute of the match. Notably, Monzón has scored three goals in five appearances (4 starts) since joining T2. Today’s win marked Portland’s third of the season and its first on the road in 2023.
