Diego Gutiérrez notches hat trick, Florian Monzón records team-leading eighth goal and two assists

PORTLAND, Ore. – Behind a hat trick from Diego Gutiérrez along with a goal and two assists from Florian Monzón, Timbers2 secured a 6-1 win over LA Galaxy II at Providence Park on Wednesday night. Monzón’s goal was his team-leading eighth of the campaign, while Gutiérrez increased his season total to five goals. Noel Caliskan also added a goal and an assist in the match.

 Portland was awarded a penalty kick after a handball in the box. Monzón stepped to the spot, firing his attempt into the upper right corner of the goal.
