T2 advanced to the Western Conference Semifinals after defeating St. Louis CITY2 2-0 in the quarterfinals in front of 7,882 fans at Providence Park on Oct. 16. Max Kissel and Noah Santos provided Portland’s goals, while Goalkeeper of the Year Sam Joseph helped the team secure its league-record 15th clean sheet of the 2026 campaign. Notably, Timbers2 extended its unbeaten streak to a 13th straight result (7-0-6), dating back to June.

In three meetings with Ventura County this season, Timbers2 are dead-even with the California side, securing three draws against VCFC on March 23, May 10 and Aug. 23. Playing at home in March, T2 held the visiting VCFC scoreless to a 0-0 result. The May matchup at Providence Park saw T2 heroics with the team coming back to tie the game 3-3 after trailing 3-1 with only 30 minutes left of play. A late Nicklas Lund header and Daniel Cervantes one-on-one chance were enough to secure the point in the end for T2. The final matchup of the season between the two sides took place in Thousand Oaks, where a Daniel Cervantes brace via two penalty kicks were enough to garner another point and extend T2’s unbeaten streak.

In their first season under head coach Jack Cassidy, Timbers2 finished the 2026 campaign with a club-best record of 14-4-10 (57pts), qualifying for the MLS NEXT Pro Playoffs for the first time in club history and securing the Pacific Division title. Additionally, Portland closed its 2026 campaign on a 12-game unbeaten streak (6-0-6), the longest such stretch in the league, while also leading the league in road wins (9) and clean sheets (14), a new single-season MLS NEXT Pro record.

The MLS NEXT Pro Playoffs will run for four consecutive weeks, culminating with MLS NEXT Pro Cup the weekend of Nov. 6. All matches will air live on OneFootball.com and MLSNEXTPro.com.
