MLS NEXT Pro to hold conference semifinal Pick Your Opponent Tuesday
After winning their first-ever playoff match on Friday, Timbers2 will now play host to an MLS NEXT Pro Playoffs Western Conference Semifinal on Sunday, Oct. 25, at Providence Park. The kickoff time, opponent and ticket information will be announced Tuesday following the league’s Pick Your Opponent process.
The No. 2 seed Timbers2 are one of four Western Conference teams remaining following a weekend of conference quarterfinal action. MLS NEXT Pro will conduct its Pick Your Opponent process on Tuesday, at 12pm PT, to allow the top seeded teams in each conference to select their next opponent. No. 1 seed Austin FC II will select an opponent from No. 3 Ventura County FC and No. 6 LAFC 2. No. 2 Timbers2 will face the remaining club.
The remaining Western Conference teams are:
- No. 1 seed Austin FC II
- No. 2 seed Timbers2
- No. 3 seed Ventura County
- No. 6 seed LAFC 2
Timbers2 defeated St. Louis CITY2 in the Western Conference Quarterfinal, 2-0. The victory marked their 15th shutout of the 2026 campaign and extended the team’s current unbeaten run to 13 matches.
