Sawyer Jura and Noah Santos both scored their first goals of the season as Timbers2 played Whitecaps FC 2 to a 2-2 draw Saturday at BC Place. T2 earned an extra point on the road with a shootout win, 3-2.

VANCOUVER, B.C. – Timbers2 played to a 2-2 draw against Whitecaps FC 2 at BC Place on Saturday afternoon. T2 opened the scoring with two, first-half goals scored by Sawyer Jura and Noah Santos before conceding two goals to Vancouver in the second half. Notably, Jura and Santos scored their first goals of the season, while Santos and Blake Pope tallied their first assists.

With the match ending in a draw, the two teams went to a shootout to determine who would earn an additional point. Portland prevailed with a 3-2 shootout win to earn two points from the match. Pope, Kyle Linhares and Alex Moreno all converted their kicks from the spot, while Trey Muse made two penalty kick saves.
