The group stage starts October 11 in India.

The FIFA U-17 Womens’ World Cup will take place in India next month, and the United States has announced its roster for the tournament. Thorns FC will be represented on the squad with the inclusion of Samantha Smith, who plays for the club’s youth affiliate Boise Thorns FC in Idaho.
Smith—a forward from Boise—is on the 21-player roster for U.S. U-17 National Team, led by head coach Natalia Astrain. Smith, a versatile and accomplished prep athlete in skiing and cross country, has represented the U.S. at the U-15 level previously and has participated in multiple U-17 camps. But Smith’s first minutes at the U-17 World Cup will mark her first cap with the U-17s.
The United States will compete in Group A against Brazil, Morocco, and host India; group stage begins on Tuesday, Oct. 11.
