Follow myriad Thorns FC players as they compete in the SheBelieves Cup in the U.S., Algarve Cup in Portugal

Two big women's international soccer tournaments–the 2017 SheBelieves Cup and 2017 Algarve Cup–get underway next week and a host of Thorns FC players are participating as part of their respective national teams. Here's how to keep track of them all and follow along.


SheBelieves Cup
Running from March 1-7, the SheBelieves Cup is a four-team, round-robin format tournament between the host United States along with Germany, France and England. Thorns FC players Tobin Heath, Lindsey Horan, Allie Long and Emily Sonnett will be playing for the USWNT while Thorns FC teammate Amandine Henry will be suiting up for France.

The tournament, now in its second year, was previously won by the USWNT. Initially conceived as a way to prepare the team ahead of the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup, the tournament has also evolved to have a social activism element as well. As stated on the U.S. Soccer website, the initiative was "conceived and developed by the USWNT players, [with] SheBelieves [as] a movement to inspire young girls and women and encourage them to accomplish their goals and dreams, athletic or otherwise."

Algarve Cup
Meanwhile, in Portugal, the 24th edition of the Algarve Cup will be underway March 1-8 and involve twelve national teams: Australia, Canada, China, Denmark, the Netherlands, Norway, Iceland, Japan, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and Russia. Thorns FC forward Christine Sinclair will be with reigning tournament champion Canada, while forward Hayley Raso will be with Australia and midfielder Dagny Brynjarsdottir is with Iceland.


Separated into three four-team groups, teams will compete in a round-robin format with the final standings of each  group determining their position for the final round placement matches. Group stage games involving Thorns players are as follows:
