PORTLAND, Ore. – As they make their final preparations for the 2022-23 ECNL season, Portland Thorns FC Academy had four U-19 players receive United Soccer Coaches All-America honors.
Senior midfielder Emilia Warta and juniors Ella Callanan (pictured above) and Kennedy Fletcher received their first All-America. Junior midfielder Ellie Felt was named All-America for a second time. The All-America list is comprised of just 25 players from across the United States.
All four Thorns Academy players have committed to NCAA Division I programs to continue their careers at the next level. Fletcher is committed to the University of Arizona, while Callanan is committed to the University of San Diego. Both Warta and Felt will stay in the Pacific Northwest, committing to Gonzaga University and Oregon State University, respectively.
The Thorns Academy begins its 2022-23 ECNL campaign on Dec. 10, with matches against Real Colorado and Colorado Rapids. For more on the ENCL, visit www.ecnlgirls.com.
